What do you love about your job?
Being able to have a flexible work schedule and being surrounded by people who make work fun.

What led you to the construction field?
I interned at an engineering company and did some work in the field, which led me to change from an engineering to a construction major. I liked seeing the projects come to life instead of only seeing it on paper at a traditional engineering firm.

Why do you like the integration at Iconica?
Being a part of the team culture and seeing satisfied clients at the end of projects; being able to collaborate with the project team to overcome obstacles and fix problems throughout the duration of the project. Because we have architecture, construction, and engineering all under one roof, a question that may take a week or more to get answered with traditional firms only takes a day or so here.

How has construction/ or your job changed since you started at Iconica?
We now use a cloud-based construction software management system, which helps us get information to the field quicker and it’s a great database for information.

Were you interested in building as a child?
Yes

What has been your favorite project so far?
State Bank of Cross Plains, it was great working with Scott Fehrman (Iconica Superintendent)

Favorite song to sing in the car?
Fishin’ in the Dark by the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band

Dream vacation?
Canada fly-in fishing trip to a remote lake and being the only people with access to the lake.

Do you have a dream project?
Casino or high-rise building

Best advice your mother or father gave you?
The best advice that I received was to treat everyone the way you expect to be treated and you need to be responsible for your own actions.

If you weren’t in the construction field what would you be doing?
Financial advisor
