What do you love about your job?
I like taking on different challenges and not every day is the same. It’s a good company with a lot of nice people.

What led you to the construction field?
A friend of mine, Cody Van Haren, works at Iconica and told me they were hiring.

What is the most rewarding thing about your job?
Seeing the end result

Do you have any siblings?
Yes, 1 brother and 1 sister – I’m the oldest

Were you interested in building as a child?
Yeah, I liked helping people I knew build decks and other construction projects they were doing

Do you have a pet?
Yes, a yellow lab – Finn. He’ll be a year old in October.

What do you like to do when you’re not at work?
Hunting – deer (bow and gun), small game
I also love to fish. I grew up in Eastman, so I fished in the Mississippi River a lot.

What’s the biggest fish you’ve ever caught?
A 30-pound flathead catfish

Favorite place that you’ve visited?
We took a family vacation out west and went through South Dakota, North Dakota, Montana, Wyoming and came back through Colorado. It was great.

Do you have a favorite singer?
Not a favorite, but I like the country station on the radio when I’m driving

What would you say to someone considering working with Iconica?
It’s a very tight-knit company, very easy going and easy to work for

Dream vacation?
Go out on a bow hunt for elk in Colorado

If you weren’t in the construction field what would you be doing?
Working for the NRCS, soil scientist/conservation promoter

Favorite food?
Steak

What is something most people don’t know about you?
I’m a volunteer fireman
