Reena Memory Care Addition
The market trend in senior housing is moving towards a campus approach that provides opportunities for seniors to age in place from Independent Living to Assisted Living and/or Memory Care. Multiple care options also help spouses remain within close proximity to one another.
The existing Reena Senior Living community has Assisted and Independent Living. Adding a 28-unit Memory Care wing provided more comprehensive options to the complex and helped solve the problem of a growing waiting list for memory care in the Fort Atkinson area.
To begin the project, the Iconica design team met with the client to verify and clarify their specific wants, needs, budget, and schedule. The team incorporated industry best practices to provide a fulfilling experience for residents and staff, including thoughtfully planned spaces for activities as well as incorporating cutting-edge technology. The new care wing allows the specialty design for Memory Care to be functional and visually pleasing, along with a cohesive design and color palette with the original structures.
The Iconica construction team was mindful of the folks residing in the Independent and Assisted Living wings during the eight-month construction period. The team took great care to reduce noise levels, keep the job site clean, and coordinate with the residents’ and staff’s schedules. Respectful attitudes and detailed coordination kept the jobsite safe and the construction project running smoothly and on time.
