Iconica’s Design-Build Team Completes GHC-SCW Behavioral Health Clinic in Madison, WI

On April 7, 2025, we joined Group Health Cooperative of South Central Wisconsin (GHC-SCW) to celebrate the grand opening of their new behavioral health clinic on East Olin Avenue with a green ribbon cutting, an intentional nod to mental health awareness.

This project is another great example of our ongoing partnership with GHC-SCW, combining architecture, engineering, and construction to deliver a space that supports both patient care and provider needs.

A Space Designed for Growth and Compassionate Care

The new 12,000-square-foot GHC-SCW Behavioral Health Clinic is an interior transformation of an existing building designed and built by Iconica. Our integrated design-build approach, combining architecture, engineering, and construction, was crafted to meet the expanding needs of GHC-SCW.

One of the design elements was the inclusion of wider hallways, purposefully designed to allow natural light to flood the interior spaces. This thoughtful feature enhances visibility and safety and creates a calming atmosphere conducive to mental wellness. The clinic features 24 private offices, two group therapy rooms, and an occupational therapy gym strategically arranged to support GHC’s growing behavioral health team and services. Throughout the design process, we collaborated closely with GHC-SCW to ensure the clinic’s layout, finishes, and lighting provide a comfortable, private, and respectful environment for every patient.

Expanded Services, Elevated Experience

Now open to the community, the GHC-SCW Olin Clinic offers a comprehensive range of behavioral health services, including outpatient therapy, psychiatry, triage and crisis support, and adult inattention/ADHD evaluations. Starting this summer, the clinic will expand its offerings further with occupational therapy and speech-language services as part of its growing Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) program—demonstrating GHC-SCW’s ongoing commitment to holistic, person-centered care.

A Continued Partnership in Care
