Iconica Meets Schedule for Beer and Football

Iconica recently completed design and construction of a new craft brewery space at 990 Tony Canadeo Run in the shadows of Lambeau Field. Badger State Brewing Company wanted to explore the possibility of expanding and began talking with us early last winter. As a start-up company, they kept their focus right where it should be: careful capital expenditures, allowing for future growth and improvements as revenue allows. Together we developed a plan for a 20,000 sf space including expanded brewing capacity and a sleek taproom for beer and football lovers.

Almost all of our projects have challenging schedules. Sometimes the project completion date targets an industry slow period, a critical sales cycle, or an expiring lease. With this project, the target was the start of the football season. And of course every month their beer sales were restricted by production capacity meant additional lost revenue. Our ability to overlap design and construction cycles compressed the schedule to meet the owner’s goal.

Teamwork

Badger State Brewing shared expert knowledge of their processes and contributed light fixtures, back bar shelving, and creative ideas which we incorporated in the design. Iconica also helped coordinate the work of owner-held contracts for items such as security and brewing equipment to keep the schedule on track.

Badger State Brewing Company was founded in 2013 by three Green Bay natives: Sam Yanda, Andrew Fabry and Michael Servi. If you make your way to Green Bay, be sure to stop. In addition to the 40 beers on tap and in bottles, they sell and distribute three flagship beers, Walloon Belgian Witbier, Bunyan Badger Brown and Greeb Chop Session IPA. Even from Madison, you can stay up to date on their latest beers and news by following on Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn.
