THE QUICK NEED FOR ACTION
The conversation had just started about updating the offices and public spaces of the State Bank of Cross Plains (SBCP) when the major flood of the summer, 2018 hit the Village of Cross Plains and much of Dane County. Due to extensive water damage, much of the flooring, drywall, and casework had to be cleared out of the first-floor offices. The planning phase for a future remodel was changed quickly and made into an action plan. SBCP worked with Iconica to develop the road map for the layout, finishes, and construction schedule.
The client, architect, and project manager all worked together to plan out the work and also make sure there was always a place for staff to work and for customers to receive service. Through phased work, the remodel was completed efficiently, with the SBCP having minimal work interruptions during the work hours. The bank was brought back to life by our design team and carpentry crew, changing the damaged office into functional and attractive work space.
Over the course of eight weeks, the majority of the construction was completed. The result is a fresh, updated space for staff and clients to enjoy. The lobby is functional with plenty of room for everyone to interact, bank, and meet together. Much of the casework and furniture was replaced and a glass wall was installed for the executive suites. An HVAC system, drywall and paint, electrical, new personal banking systems, and a coffee station were also all added to the remodeled bank lobby.
“We are thrilled with the new lobby space and everything that Iconica has provided for us. Each day we receive numerous compliments which makes us proud that our customers are enjoying the change too. Our remodeled office is like a breath of fresh air.” Kathy Pulvermacher – Office Manager, State Bank of Cross Plains
