The goal of this project was three-fold: Create a spa-like environment, free of typical clinical surroundings; make it efficient for the physicians and nursing staff; and maintain a sense of privacy so clients feel secure. Mission accomplished. The project began with designing the perfect plan, giving a voice to the client’s needs and a forum for our architecture, interior design and construction team leaders to provide insight and feedback. The integration and partnership created a space that brought a new level of comfort and privacy to patients seeking this type of treatment. The operational efficiency of the patient rooms including instrument layout and supply location saves time and promotes a pleasant workspace for staff and physicians alike.
FROM THE DESIGNER
The concept was to make the surgery center feel more like a spa, intimate and personal. Since the space was small it also needed to function efficiently. The integration of interior design and architecture played a major role in meeting the design tastes of several physicians while providing them with an innovative space to sell their services.
